It originated in the early 1960s at the legendary Daini Seikosha manufacture as a direct competitor to the Grand Seiko , which was being developed concurrently at Suwa Seikosha. Both lines were created with the goal of propelling Seiko to the forefront of mechanical precision worldwide and the rivalry between these two workshops laid the foundation for the
